Lunch Workshop, April 6, 2016, Cone 210, from 12:30-1:45

Lunch is included, but we need to know how much to order - so please RSVP here by Friday, April 1

Abstract:This talk will explore some of the myriad ways in which the use of racial categories enters biomedical research and practice.  It will examine in particular the possible role(s) race may place in the Precision Medicine Initiative and consider the implications of the irony that race as a category of biomedical analysis persists even as it was supposed to fade away from use as we progressed into the post-genomic age of precision medicine.
