Abstract: Kristin Newby is the Principal Investigator for the MURDOCK study in Kannapolis, which is a long-term study by Duke university to identify linkages across major diseases and disorders in order to defeat some of today’s leading causes of illness and death. The MURDOCK Study has enlisted the participation of more than 12,000 residents in the Cabarrus County/Kannapolis region, and aims to study health outcomes by combining information from biomarkers, georeferencing and other data sources.
