UPCOMING VSED CONFERENCE
The Ethics Center will be cosponsoring a conference at the Center City Building on April 6, on VSED as an end-of-life care option. VSED – voluntarily stopping eating and drinking – is a legal option for a competent adult who wishes to hasten the onset of his or her death. The conference will explore the complex legal and moral issues surrounding VSED. The conference keynote will be Thaddeus Pope, JD, PhD who is Professor of Law and Director of the Health Law Institute at Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
